Coach lived for family, Steelers youth football and community (Contra Costa Times)
Funeral services for Richmond Steelers coach Fred Harris are set for Tuesday at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium. The City Council this week remembered Harris, a 27-year volunteer coach for the youth football organization, as a local hero who helped mold the characters of thousands of young people, many of whom came from troubled and violent neighborhoods.
